Lyons Companies Overview

Founded in 1984 by David F. Lyons, Sr., the firm is owned and led by Catharine N. Lyons, President and CEO.  Lyons Companies is one of the largest women-owned insurance brokerages in the region.  Lyons Companies combines large firm resources with local firm responsiveness, partnering with clients to implement proactive strategies that meet their business objectives and manage their total cost of risk.

Lyons Companies has been providing property and casualty insurance and risk management services to commercial, not-for-profit and private clients for over 35 years. 

Lyons began offering employee benefits products and consulting services in 1986.  This expertise extends from fully insured programs to all varieties of self-funded benefits programs, including level-funded, group captive, Multiple Employer Welfare Arrangements, like consortiums and association health plans. 

Lyons is a recognized leader in the alternative risk marketplace.  Since 2003, we have placed and serviced over 100 clients in group and 831(B) captives.

Lyons Human Capital Management launched in 2013 to support clients in the areas of HR and employer compliance.
