Recently featured in the March 2018 edition of NAHU’s ABS magazine, George Lemmon writes to today’s challenges facing employer-broker relationships and establishes a few solutions that disrupt the business. Through his research, he finds:
“…six in 10 employers offering insurance think plan-quality ratings are important, but nine in 10 are unfamiliar with objective quality metrics.”
In short, the problem lies in current limitations on the market with how employers can vet broker relationships based on qualitative data. And, on the other side, a lack of a niche workspace for brokers to build their brand and be found.
The solution, George describes, is to evolve the way we do business by offering “insurance professionals one place to market their services, directly connect with employers, pair up with target prospects, simplify the RFP process and make the right matches for partnership longevity.” This new experience is found in the SHRM Broker Finder platform.
